From 1,000 trees , the team has selected three varieties of seedless fruits include : DLC240 , DLC434 and DLC436 . The advantage of this technology in agriculture is to create new varieties of good quality , high output . And help farmers better preservation of agricultural products after harvest .
 
According to the assessment , the application of nuclear technology in the agricultural production process is a new type , however experts believe that nuclear energy is the key to the agricultural sector in the country can not reach the mutations in sewing , creating new varieties but also improvement processing , post-harvest storage to meet the technical barriers , bringing agricultural products to foreign countries .
 
Dr. Tran Chi Thanh, Director of the Institute of Atomic Energy , said Vietnam , Dong Nai last time was invested into the field of nuclear technology applications in agricultural production and have obtained satisfactory results concerned . Dong Nai is also developed on an irradiation center located in the Center for Applied Biotechnology in Cam My District . When operational , the center will take on the role of irradiation , to help farmers harvest storage and eliminate pathogens on agricultural products .
