Lack of mangoes for export to South Korea

Mr. Huynh Thanh Ba - Vice Chairman of the U.S. Cooperative Mango Bones (Cao Lanh, Dong Thap), said the cooperative has successfully export shipments than 300 tons of fresh mangoes to the Korean market by sea.
 
Shipments are carefully selected and processed with steam, ensuring the required phytosanitary, food safety and hygiene of South Korea. Mr Cheung said, after the orders, South Korean counterparts have continued to order larger quantities, however, are concerned cooperatives would lack the goods to ensure export standards.
 
Accordingly, to obtain licenses to export to South Korea, Vietnam mangoes must undergo stages of pest risk assessments, treatments using hot steam. Area to be planted Department of Plant Protection and licensing assessment and South Korea accepted.
