Avocados: increasing foothold

Avocado (Persea americana) is a fruit tree, is said to have originated from Mexico about 12 thousand years ago, through Guatamela then to Central America, spread to South America: Colombia, Venezuela, Las Guyanas, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru , Bolivia and Chile. Avocados are grown in the tropics, most EU regions only Spanish. Butter was introduced in our country in the 20th century Avocado is easy to grow, few care, can live from 25 to 40 years. Average harvest an avocado tree from 200-300 kg.

 

Presence on the international market

Growing avocados intensive to start selling in the United States (California and Florida) in the 1930s, followed by Israel, South Africa and Chile ... According to the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations), World butter production increased four times over four decades. 2012 more than 4 million tons of output (LZ 1). Currently, Mexico is the largest producer of avocados in the world, followed by Chile, Dominican Republic, Indonesia, USA, Colombia (Table 3). Whether nutrient-rich fruits and imported butter production was long but Vietnam still modest due mainly domestic use, often used as a beverage, few people know processed foods.
