Boosting hi-tech applications in agriculture sector is what Binh Dinh Party Committee’s Chief asked a relevant body to do in a meeting on Tuesday.

Reports at the meeting between standing board of provincial Party Committee and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development showed 14 projects would be implemented between 2015-2020, under the high-tech application in agriculture development program.

The program is expected to be divided into two phases, including the project development for the 2015-20 period with a vision towards 2030 in the first stage (2015-16) and the high-tech performances in planned or recognized areas in the second phase (2017-20).

Other issues related to infrastructure, science and technology, manpower training, and policies were also discussed at the meeting.

The provincial Party Chief Nguyen Van Thien asked the department and localities to review the planning and boost the high-tech applications in agricultural production.
