Ben Tre: Nearly 60 hectares of green skin pomeloes are being planted

Green Skin Pomeloes have spherical shape, 1.2 - 2.5 kg / fruit; shells are green or yellowish green when ripe, easy to peel and very thin (14-18 mm); pink red meat , tight and easy to separate from zone; quite delicious juice, sweet and little sour (brix: 9.5 to 12%);   meat / fruit> 55%.

Polemoes have a lot of uses and they are the fruit good for health, so the demand of  them is becoming higher in many recent years.

Finding this trend, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has directed farmers in Ben Tre Province to focus on planting this tree. There have been 60 hectares of Green Skin Pomelo were planted from January to September that help to make the 10,000 ha Of Green Skin Polemo Project of Ben Tre Province be having finished before the end of this year.

Green skin pomelo is a special fruit of Ben Tre province. They have been using both in domestic and abroad. It is famous for its good and special quality.
