According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , the export of agricultural , forestry and fisheries in Vietnam in the first quarter have been positive changes , many items of high growth in both volume and value .

 

The statistics show that the total exports of agricultural , forestry and fisheries in Vietnam in the first 3 months of 2014 reached about $ 6.9 billion , up 9.4 % compared to the same period in 2013 ( 2013 only increased by 0.7 % compared with 2012) . In particular, the seafood export turnover is estimated at 1.61 billion, up 35 % ; exports of forest products was estimated at $ 1.47 billion , up 19.6 % ; exports of agricultural products reached U.S. $ 3.35 billion , down 1.6 % .

 

Contributing to the growth of overall exports of agricultural sector , forestry and fisheries in the first quarter to include commodities coffee , cashew , pepper , seafood , wood and wood products ... In particular , the fastest growing coffee export volume reached 601,000 tons , worth $ 1.17 billion, up 24.8 % in volume and 13.8 % in value compared to the same period in 2013 ; continued to pepper exports reached 49,000 tonnes worth $ 332 million , up 29.4 % in volume and 32.3 % in value ; seafood exports worth U.S. $ 1.61 billion , up 35 % compared to the same period in 2013 ... In addition to these items have high growth in turnover and volume are also some decline in exports as rice (down 14.9 % in volume and 10.4 % in value ) , rubber (down 23.1 % in volume and 42 % in value ) ... compared to the same period in 2013.

 

Exports of agricultural , forestry and seafood is pretty much due to the policy implemented to promote the development of this field , particularly those related to raising the level of production, through processing investment applications technologies , machinery and modern equipment , application procedures produce environmentally friendly products rich diversity .

 

To date , agricultural and fishery products exported by Vietnam has actively apply control measures as VietGAP System , ISO , HACCP and are implementing effective management processes in sequence from " Pond to fork " (for seafood ) , " from farm to fork " (for agricultural products) ... meet the demanding requirements in terms of quality , safety and hygiene standards of food products health , environmental protection and health of consumers and customers should be more favored consumers .

 

Thanks to these efforts , the export of agricultural , forestry and fisheries in Vietnam in the first quarter as well as the years I/2014 has constantly increased ( in 2013 , the total export value of agriculture, forestry and fishery Vietnam is estimated at U.S. $ 27.4 billion ) ; export markets for agriculture, forestry and fisheries of Vietnam is increasingly expanding , has reached 160 countries and territories around the world .

 

In the import market of agricultural, forestry and fisheries in Vietnam recently , China 's largest export market with approximately $ 8 billion in 2013, accounting for 30 % of total export value of agriculture, forestry , VN seafood . In addition to the traditional commodities such as rubber , wood , cashew nuts , pepper ... then recently , the Chinese market was quite strong consumption of agricultural , forestry and other seafood in Vietnam as vegetables, cassava , fishery products , rice , pork ... At the level of individual items , the U.S. import market volume and value of seafood Vietnam 's largest , accounting for 21.8 % of total exports in 2013.
