( HQ Online ) - According to statistics from the General Department of Customs, the total two -way trade turnover between Vietnam and the U.S. in the first two months of 2014 is estimated at 4.9 billion dollars , an increase of 25.8 % over the same period in 2013.

 

Which exports goods from Vietnam to the U.S. in the first 2 months of 2014 reached U.S. $ 3.9 billion , an increase of 25 % of Vietnam's imports from the U.S. reached 936 million, up 22 % compared to the same period of 2013. Thus, in the first two months of 2014, Vietnam exported nearly U.S. trade to $ 3 billion .

 

Statistics from the General Administration of Customs also showed that the U.S. is the second largest trade partner of Vietnam , second only to China . The balance of trade in goods of Vietnam in trade with the United States maintains a large surplus in recent years .

 

Specifically, in 2010 , a surplus in merchandise trade of Vietnam trade to surpass U.S. $ 10 billion , an increase of 26.5 % over 2009 . By 2013 , Vietnam's exports to the United States more than 4.5 times higher than imports resulted in a trade surplus of Vietnam to this market reached a record U.S. $ 18.6 billion .

 

For many years, the textile industry is still leading in Vietnam's exports to the U.S. market with export value in 2013 was $ 8.6 billion , accounting for 36 % of total export turnover of Vietnam Men in this market and accounts for nearly 48 % of the total exports of the country's textiles .

 

Besides textiles, exports of electrical items , mobile phones and parts of Vietnam to the United States in 2013 and strong growth , 5 times higher than in 2012. In addition, items such as wood and wood products , seafood , footwear as well as staples , contributing a large share of the total export turnover of Vietnam to the United States .

 

In the first 2 months of 2014, textile goods remain the leading exporter to the U.S. market with U.S. $ 1.43 billion , up 15 % compared to the same period last year , accounting for 36.4 % of total export value of textiles unfortunately . Shoes came in second place , worth over U.S. $ 444 million , an increase of 23.4 % . Wood and wood products reached nearly 293 million U.S. dollars, up 19.25 % compared with the same period in 2013 ...

 

Overall in the first 2 months of 2014, most of Vietnam's exports to the U.S. have high growth rates , notably electrical items , mobile phones and accessories has increased 11 times compared to the same period last year before .
