Starting from the project of pulp bagasse cultivating shrimp

Update: 12/30/2020
Desiring to find a product that can limit the disease on the shrimp but not using aquatic veterinary drugs, Hau read books and online to learn about bagasse. "I learned that sugar cane bagasse has been used by many households to use shrimp effectively. But in Ben Tre as well as the Mekong Delta, there are no facilities for the production of micro-organisms from shrimp meal. Meanwhile, the Mekong Delta has developed strongly in shrimp farming. I think this is an opportunity for me to start a business, "Phuc Hau said.

In 2015, Mr. Hau retires to work for his startup project. After studying, Mr. Hau successfully researched microorganism from sugarcane flour by using the pulp of sugar cane in combination with ingredients such as molasses, clean water, fermented in 72 hours. Sugar cane bagasse after 72 hours in a sponge barrel, if opened to use only for 2 days.

With the money saved 7 million, Hau bought bagasse crusher and to have raw materials for testing, he went to the point of sale of cane juice to buy bagasse to practice. When the first bag of bagasse finished, do not know how effective use will be so he brought ... some people familiar with shrimp farming industry trial. Initially due to the new product, many people were afraid, but only after a shrimp crop, the farmers used sugarcane bagasse before to buy for further use.
"When bagasse powder is sprayed directly into shrimp ponds, from pond preparation to harvesting day, farmers only need to pour the bagasse in the pond without using lime water treatment, Thanks to the sugar cane bagasse, algae and microorganism have good and stable development. In addition, the use of bagasse in shrimp farming reduces the cost of investment in chemicals and bio-products in 60% cost reduction, "said Hau.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ngan, Binh Dai town has 3.000m2 shrimp farming. Mr. Ngan used sugarcane flour produced by Mr. Hau for more than a year. Previously, he spent more than 3 million VND per month to buy microbiological and lime money to improve ponds, but since using sugarcane bagasse, he spent about 500,000 VND per month.

"When dispersing cane pulp water color is also better, when the fan water pond, bottom mud does not emerge. Every week, the water samples in the ponds are tested for good water. When the company comes to buy shrimp for export, they are satisfied that the shrimp is not infected with antibiotics. In the process of raising the rate of shrimps died also reduced, "Mr. Ngan said excitedly.
Using effective, this person told the other people to buy Hau's bagasse flour is increasing, the volume of sugarcane pulp produced not enough to sell. Therefore, Mr. Hau boldly imported sugar cane from the sugar factory in Tay Ninh province to produce in large quantities. Currently, Hau produces about 500kg of bagasse powder every day, mainly for shrimp farmers in the province. However, the volume of sugarcane bagasse produced is not enough for orders from Tra Vinh and Ca Mau provinces. Mr. Hau said that he is now applying for bank loans to invest in more machines and equipment to produce larger quantities. In addition, Mr. Hau will also learn more to create his own microbiological lines using sugarcane bagasse without buying; At the same time, research to increase the shelf life of bagasse powder to be able to transport to the provinces further.

"I hope I will succeed with this startup project in my own country. Sugarcane bagasse will help farmers reduce costs, but the environment is improved in the direction of sustainable, "Hau shared.

Nguyen Phuc Linh, deputy secretary of the Ben Tre delegation, said that the project to start production of microorganisms from prawn powder from Mr. Tran Phuc Hau was a very interesting project for the provincial delegation. highly feasible. Under current conditions, livestock farmers and consumers are aiming for environmentally safe and safe products that do not affect human health. Shrimp farmers care and use.

With high feasibility, Tran Phuc Hau's sugarcane bagasse production project was ranked in the top 100 of Vietnam's outstanding Shark Tank start-up projects organized by the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association. In the coming time, the provincial delegation will connect with Ben Tre sugar mills to supply raw materials for Phuc Hau and the provincial investment promotion and start-up capital support center to expand Phuc Hau's business. more.
