Representing Control Union Vietnam Company ( based in Ho Chi Minh City ) has awarded certification GlobalGAP ( Global standards for quality, safety and traceability ) for Agricultural Cooperatives and Member Services East ( social Thanh Dong , Binh Tan district , Vinh Long province ) .

According to the Institute for Southern Fruits , Japanese purple sweet potato production under GlobalGAP standards to help reduce the cost of production of about 1.42 million / ha / year , higher yields 0.39 tonnes / ha / year compared with traditional manufacturing . Accordingly profits will be higher than traditional production of about 6.5 million / ha . The Eastern Cooperative currently has nine households with nearly 15ha Japanese purple sweet potato production under GlobalGAP standards .
