Mr. Duong Ngoc Minh, director general of Hung Vuong Company, said that the fair has brought Vietnamese seafood enterprises opportunities to broaden export markets to Russia and other European nations.

The company yielded US$200 million in export value from these markets since early this year. It is planning investment in a cold storage in Moscow and a seafood processing plant in Vladivostok, the Russian Far East.

Seminar ‘Investment in Russian Market’ in the framework of the fair forecast that seafood import turnover from Vietnam to Russia will be fivefold by 2015 compared to the present number.

The US and EU have temporarily banned exports of some farm produce and seafood products to Russia, resulting in chances for Vietnamese businesses in the Russian market.
