NEW TARGET FOR VIETNAM CASHEW NUT IN 2017

In 2017, the cashew nut industry effort to reachs a total export value of 3.3 billion USD, of which cashew nut are forecast to US 3 billion and the EU market is expect to reach 1.1 billion of USD or the first time.

Although cashew exports to the EU market have increased steadily. But there are a lot of challenges for exporting companies. They have to face the risk of not meeting the EU origin standards. 

Tendency of consumption in cashew nut products has changed in last few years. Customers would like to use organic products and organic cashew prices are 60% higher than the standard. Domestic enterprises should aim to produce clean organic products.
