BTO- Under the guidance of Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee on power saving propaganda among dragon fruit growers, Department of Industry & Trade lately asked People’s Committees of districts, La Gi town and Phan Thiet city to direct radio and television stations in the localities support and join Binh Thuan Electricty Corporation’s implementation on power saving in dragon fruit growing households.

Accordingly, Binh Thuan Electricity Corporation (EVN Binh Thuan) should step up electricity thrift propagation programs by appropriate forms (namely handbooks, panels, CDs, instruction manuals on “power saving by using compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) in stead of incandescent light bulbs (ILs) to stimulate dragon fruit to bloom out of season for dragon fruit planting households”.

Direction No.08/CT-UBND dated on March 8, 2011 and Decision No.1261/QĐ-UBND dated on June 29, 2012 of the provincial People’s Committee should be disseminated to dragon fruit growers with electricity utilization so that they are able to understand and perform.

The focal tasks include mobilizing and propagandizing power saving; introducing, promoting and giving power users instructions of saving power products and equipment, especialy illumination equipment (e.i, compact lamps), equipment with high performance, low power consumption, and energy saving label.

Particularly, people should pay special attention to the roadmap under the guidance of provincial People’s Committee that, by 2017 the number of compact lamps accounts for at least 50% of the total lighting bulbs for dragon fruit of each household.
