Seven of more than 100 tuna met requirements of quality to be exported to Japan after a strict selection process carried out by Vietnamese and Japanese experts.

The local authorities, Vice Chairman of Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association at Sakai City Hirosuke Kato, and expert Masakazu Shoga working for Hitoshi General Office on Saturday monitored the unloading and transport of tuna caught by 4 fishing vessels, using Japanese technologies.

Seven tuna weighing 320 kg in total were selected by Kato Office and Binh Dinh Fishery Joint Stock Company’s (Bidifisco) experts to be sent to Japan for an auction.

This is the second batch of tuna exported to Japan. The first batch was previously sold out at an auction in Osaka in August last year.

Local and Kato Hitoshi’s representatives on the same day held a meeting with anglers to review the processing of hunting and preserving tuna.
