Striving to 2015 exports of handicrafts to reach $ 1.6 billion

Scheme exporting handicrafts in 2010-2015 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has approved targets continued growth of exports from 10 % to 12 % a year.

This project strives to end of 2015, exports of handicrafts goods reached $ 1.6 billion . In particular , exports rattan industry reached 530 million, accounting for 33 % ; ceramic industry reached 480 million, accounting for 30 % ; Textiles sector reached $ 270 million , accounting for 17 % ; mosaic wood industry and household reached 130 million, accounting for 8 % and the other group reached 190 million, accounting for 12 % .

To help accomplish these goals , the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development also provides specific solutions implemented .

Regarding materials , focused on building and developing the material stability and sustainable development in favor of the intensive focus combined with the economic development model to address household harmony material between the stable and increasing income for households in rural areas .

Processing , focus on developing the handicraft products with traditional technologies have low investment , rapid recovery , material savings and potentially create more jobs .

For human resources , training of human resources needed to serve the targeted restructuring of export by promoting export of handicrafts items have high value-added , innovative products . There are policy mechanisms to encourage artisans craft training and communication ; focused development team of skilled craftsmen in the field , design institutes ...

On promotion , will focus on developing export markets , improve the quality and effectiveness of union organizing trade promotion abroad ( research , market research , participation in fairs , trade commercial customers organize conferences ... ) , especially for the large market potential for goods exported handicrafts of Vietnam as USA , EU ( Germany , UK, France , Italy ... ) , Japan , Russia , Australia , South America and the Nordic countries .
